Here is a look at Liberty’s opponents that are also bowl-bound

It is official now, the Flames are headed to the Cure Bowl to take on Georgia Southern on 12/21.  Liberty had 7 wins this year and went 1-3 against teams that also made it to a bowl game. That lone win was against Buffalo on 9/14. LU won that game 35-17. Here is a look at the teams Liberty has played this year that are headed to a bowl:

• Louisiana (10-3) is headed to the Lending Tree Bowl to play vs Miami (Ohio)
• Buffalo (7-5) will play Charlotte in the Bahamas Bowl
• BYU (7-5) will play in the Hawaii Bowl vs Hawaii
• Virginia (9-4) is headed to the Orange Bowl to play Florida

Last year the Flames faced 5 bowl teams (Troy, Auburn, Virginia, North Texas, and Army). Liberty went 1-4 in those 5 games, beating Troy.

If Liberty does win their first bowl game in school history, it would arguably be their best win of the year and in program history. Big time game coming up!
