John Brown is the favorite, and really he has no challengers, to win the Big South Freshman of the Year award. Brown leads the 11-4 High Point Panthers who have already clinched the #1 seed in the Big South’s North Division and a first round bye. Brown is averaging 16.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
The race for the Big South’s auto-bid to the Big Dance at next week’s conference tournament just got wide open.
