Former Liberty great Caleb Homesley made his professional debut in the G League on Wednesday with the Erie Bayhawks. The 6’6″ guard finished the game with 11 points as he helped the team pick up the win, 117-98, in the season opener over the Salt Lake City Stars.
Wednesday’s game, televised on ENN Plus and NBA TV, was the first of a condensed 15-game season for Erie and Homesley. The BayHawks will play four games in the opening week, including games Friday at 11 AM EST on ESPN+, Saturday at 11 AM EST on ENN Plus, and Monday at 7:30 PM EST on ESPN+.
Wearing the No. 3 jersey, Homesley got the start at the off guard for the BayHawks. He played 32 minutes and was leading the team at halftime with 9 points. Homesley finished the game with 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists while shooting 4 of 14 from the field and 2 of 8 from three point range. He made the highlight reels with a first half throw down plus the foul.
