Like any program, there is always going to be some turnover from year to year. This season is no exception for the Flames football team under Turner Gill. Flames Nation has learned from a source close to the team that QB Brian Hudson, LB Chase Griffiths, WR Nico Johnson, and DB Darec Brooks have all left the program for various reasons.
Brian Hudson has left the Liberty football team |
Hudson, who started the 2012 season as the starter at QB will be attending Campbell. Griffiths left the team for personal reasons, but will graduate soon. Stay with Flames Nation throughout the Spring as we cover the 2013 edition of Liberty Flames Football.
I hope Dallas stays now that Bro is gone.
These are just the players that have recently announced; they had a few during the season and right after the 2012 season ended as well…
Wow
I hope the info on b Hudson is a mistake. I never did understand him not returning after he was cleared from his injury to play. Granted woodrum had a good year but if Hudson had remained the starter I’m sure we would have made the playoffs. I figured they would be battling it out in the spring with Hudson again winning the job and finally making the playoffs
we would not of made the playoffs if Hudson was qb. That is just crazy talk. 6-5 was a good year for a rebuilding squad. Hudson wasn’t going to change that
I also just heard that is true about B Hud going to campbell. By all accounts he was very well liked and respected by everyone in the program. I’m sure he’ll be misswd. I also never knew why he didnt return after his injury. As far as weather or not we would have made playoffs with him who knows, but if he had played that coastal game that outcome would have been different and a win there would have gotten us in.woodrum had 3 picks that day and his inexperience was definately a factor.
Best of luck 18
well if there are more leaving or who have left, do we know who they are.
from what I hear they’ll be more. Coach Minter was also very well liked and there are several players in the process of refiguring their football future. After watching that Wake game and every other time Hudson had a chance to play, including his clutch plays against Stonybrook, It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him have a banner year and really help Coach Minter turn Campbell around, especially by adding new players like him
