Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze has the highest bowl game winning percentage of all active head coaches with at least six bowl wins. Freeze is currently 6-1 all-time in bowl games, giving him an 86% winning percentage in bowl games.

Freeze was 3-1 in bowl games during his time at Ole Miss, with wins in the BBVA Compass, Music City, and Sugar bowls. His only loss came in the 2014 Peach Bowl to TCU.
At Liberty, Freeze is 3-0 in bowl games, winning in each of the Flames’ first three bowl appearances which all came in the first three years Liberty was a full bowl eligible member of the FBS. In 2019, Liberty defeated Georgia Southern and then knocked off Coastal Carolina in 2020 to win back-to-back Cure Bowls. This past Saturday, the Flames defeated Eastern Michigan, 56-20, in the 2021 Lending Tree Bowl.
Freeze has won at least 8 games in each of his three seasons at Liberty.
