Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze will be part of ESPN’s coverage of Monday’s National Championship Game between No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Ohio State. Freeze will be on ESPNews as part of the “Film Room” edition that features several former and current head coaches within the sport, the network released the list of coaches that will be part of the broadcast.

Freeze will be alongside long time friend and former Auburn head coach Gene Chizik, Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson, and North Carolina A&T’s Sam Washington. The Film Room is one of 14 ways you can watch the national title game included in ESPN’s “Megacast.”

Freeze and the Flames capped a 10-1 season with a victory over Coastal Carolina in the Cure Bowl last month, noted as one of the most exciting bowl games during bowl season. The 10 wins tied a program record for most wins in a single season and Liberty entered bowl season ranked No. 23 in both the Associated Press and Amway Coaches Poll. The Flames have been ranked in the top 25 national polls in seven out of the last eight weeks. In addition to the win over No. 12 Coastal Carolina, who was unbeaten prior to falling to Liberty, the Flames also knocked off Syracuse and in-state opponent Virginia Tech, the first ever wins for the program over ACC opponents.
