Iowa State defensive end and transfer Seth Nerness committed to Liberty on Saturday. Nerness, who visited Lynchburg over the weekend of April 1st, must sit out the 2017 season and will have 2 seasons of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2018 season.
Nerness, who is 6’4″ and 250 pounds, is originally from Southlake Christian Academy in Huntersville, North Carolina where he was a 3 star prospect coming out of high school. At Iowa State, he redshirted in 2015 and saw limited action in 2016. He chose Iowa State over offers from North Carolina, Louisville, Kansas State, West Virginia and others.
