Jaylyn McKinney
Lakeland, Florida
Victory Christian Academy
Athlete
6’1″ 175 lbs
Class of 2015
Update 12/17/17: McKinney’s verbal to Liberty has been verified. From the linked article: “(McKinney)recorded 79 tackles (49 solo) during the Storm’s state championship season. He also rushed for 587 yards and seven touchdowns. ‘I viewed the campus, met the coaches and it seemed like a perfect fit,’ McKinney said. McKinney played two years of varsity football at Victory and two at Frostproof. He also claimed offers from Mississippi State, FIU and Iowa State. He plans to study business management.”
McKinney who has offers from Mississippi State, UCF, and Florida International committed to Liberty according to his twitter. He plays running back and linebacker for Victory Christian. On offense, he has rushed for 179 yards on just 20 carries with four touchdowns and has caught five passes for 26 yards and another touchdown. On defense, he is third on the Storm with 40 total tackles, including 27 solo tackles and a team-leading nine tackles for loss. He also leads the Storm with four sacks.
He is planning on visiting Liberty this weekend, so perhaps his commitment becomes “official” at that point in time.

I can not believe this has not been brought up over at flamefans! A prospect with an offer from the #1 team in FBS at the moment and he has verballed to Liberty! That is exciting news to me that the coaches can recruit a kid away from that type of FBS program.
This kid is a true baller and one of the best players in the Central Florida. Liberty is getting a steal with this kid. He is a legit 6\’1 215 not 175 and a great athlete.
