With the departure of Special Teams Coordinator Mike Minter, Liberty’s head coach Turner Gill has promoted Josh Bookbinder to Special Teams Coordinator. Bookbinder served as the team’s Defensive Quality Control during the 2012 season.
Bookbinder came to Liberty after spending 2 seasons at Carson-Newman, a Division II college located in Jefferson City, Tennessee. At Carson-Newman, Bookbinder served as linebackers coach in 2009, and in 2010 was the special teams coordinator and defensive ends coach. Bookbinder also served as Defensive Quality Control at Richmond in 2009.
Bookbinder is a 2009 graduate of Baylor University. He was a undergraduate assistant in 2007-08 at Baylor working with their linebackers.
