JUCO transfer big man JR Coronado is still seeking clearance from the NCAA to play this season. He recently received clearance to practice. The issue has to do with his academic transcripts from his time in Junior College.
Coronado is expected to be a big contributor to the men’s basketball team this season if he is cleared to play. With Joel VanderPol out until at least January, Coronado would likely be the starting center.
Coronado is a native of Caracas, Venezuela, and came to Liberty through Palm Beach State College.
