Liberty has picked up a commitment from JUCO offensive lineman Reggie Young. Young is a 6’5″, 275 pound offensive lineman from Iowa Central Community College. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Young is a December grad and should be able to join the Flames for the spring semester.
Young was offered by Liberty in late September and took a visit to Lynchburg over the weekend of Nov. 20. Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze also stopped by to visit with Young on Sunday to begin his recruiting tour this week. He also has offers from UConn, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, Bowling Green, South Florida, Hawaii, Akron, UMass, Southern Miss, UAB, and Western Kentucky.
Young signed with FCS Northwestern State out of high school. He has been listed as a top 50 JUCO recruit nationally by ESPN. He becomes the second offensive lineman to commit to the Flames in this class, joining Ryan Gunter. Young is the 12th commitment in the class of 2022.
