Liberty picked up a commitment Friday afternoon from Kendy Charles.

Charles is a 6’0″, 245 pound defensive line prospect from Orange Park High School in Orange Park, Florida. He took an official visit to Liberty during the Buffalo game. Earlier this week, Charles set a final three of Liberty, Coastal Carolina, and Wofford. He also had offers from Western Kentucky and several FCS schools.

As a junior, Charles had 96 tackles, 11 TFLs, 9 sacks, 6 QB hurries, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, and 2 fumble recoveries. Through his first 4 games this season, Charles has accumulated 54 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 sack, 5 QB hurries, and 2 blocked field goals.

He becomes the 23rd commitment in the Class of 2020, joining defensive line commitments Corey Lucas, Aakil Washington, Rashad Whitehead, Jordan Bradford, and Karsen Perkins as the Flames closeout their needs on the defensive line for the class.
