The men’s basketball program has picked up its first commitment since the University announced its move from the Big South to the ASUN, and it’s a big one. 3-star forward Kyle Rode has pledged to Liberty.
The 6’7”, 210 pound prospect had over 20 offers including Winthrop, William & Mary, Akron, Bradley, JMU, Rice, Belmont, Samford and Northern Kentucky.
Rode is from Lexington, Kentucky where he attends Lexington Christian Academy. He helped guide LCA to its first All A Classic state championship this past season.
Rode joins Marten Maide as the first two commitments in the Class of 2019.
