Liberty has landed the women’s basketball leading scorer at the NJCAA Division I and Division II level as Dee Brown and Alyssa Iverson have signed with the Lady Flames.
Brown averaged 26.6 points per game this past season at Miami Dade College. The 5’9″ combo guard will have two years of eligibility remaining.
She earned All-America honors for each of the past two seasons and also averaged 9.1 rebounds per game and was 2nd nationally with 7.3 assists per game. Brown is from Chicago, Illinois where she graduated from Proviso East High School.
Iverson averaged 27 points per game at McHenry County College this past season. She will have two years of eligibility remaining.
To go along with her scoring average, the 5’7″ combo guard also averaged 4.2 assists and 3.0 steals per game as she was named an NJCAA first team All-American. She made 79 three pointers at a 36.6% clip and had 12 30-point games including a season high of 44.
Iverson spent her freshman season in 2018-19 at Northern Iowa where she had limited playing time before transferring to McHenry. She attended Harvest Christian Academy and is from Elgin, Illinois.
