Liberty has added Kai Yu to the 2023 men’s basketball signing class, as he joins Curtis Blair in the early signing period for the class.
Yu is a 7’0″, 240 pound big man from Shanghai, China. He plays for Link Prep’s national team, one of the top post grad basketball programs in the country, located in Branson, Missouri. The big man also has the ability to stretch the floor with his ability to shoot the ball from behind the arc. This is Yu’s first year competing at Link.
Link Academy made it all the way to the finals of the Geico Nationals during their first year of competition as a high school program last year. That team’s roster last year included McDonald’s All-Americans Jordan Walsh and Julian Phillips.
We did our #License to Shoot 🎯 drills today with our PG National group.
Our 7️⃣ footer Kai Yu shattered the record from previous years and made 82 3️⃣’s in 5 minutes! 😳😳😳 pic.twitter.com/58jr4zRAtj
