On Thursday, Liberty added to its 2023 Class by picking up a commitment from tight end Josh Phifer.
Phifer is a 6’5″, 220 pound tight end from Starr’s Mill High School in Fayetteville, Georgia. He also has offers from Air Force, Army, Western Kentucky, and several FCS schools. Liberty offered him on June 17. He is a two-time All-County and All-Region selection.
He is the 13th commit in the 2023 class for the Flames which currently ranks No. 63 in the country according to On3Sports. Phifer is the first tight end commit in the class, but he joins fellow commits that includes two quarterbacks, three wide receivers, three offensive linemen, three defensive linemen, and a linebacker.
