Liberty has picked up a commitment from Erwil Anthony, an offensive line transfer from Wingate. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Anthony is a 6’4″, 285 pound offensive lineman who attended Division II Wingate. Originally from Kannappolis, North Carolina, Anthony earned the Jacobs Blocking trophy as his conference’s top offensive lineman this past season and was also named first-team all-conference. Anthony started every game at right tackle for the Bulldogs, helping Wingate put up 29.1 points per game on the season. Anthony helped Wingate’s balanced attack produce 170 rushing yards and 183 passing yards per contest.

Since entering the portal, Anthony picked up offers from Fresno State, Colorado State, Middle Tennessee, UTEP, and several FCS schools.

Liberty is looking for some help on the offensive line after losing three key players to the portal and two starters in Jordan White, Xavior Gray, and Jordan Hall. Anthony will certainly be able to come in and compete for playing time and potentially a starting position on the Flames’ offensive line in 2025.
