The Turner Gill Era began in 2012, and comes in at #2 on our Year in Review Top 10.

Gill came to Liberty following head coaching stints at Buffalo and Kansas. In his first season, he guided Liberty to a share of the Big South Conference Championship. The Flames won 6 out of their last 7 games finishing the season at 6-5.

Coach Gill played his college football at the University of Nebraska where he was 28-2 as the starting quarterback. In addition to coaching at Buffalo and Kansas, Gill has been on staff at Nebraska and with the Green Bay Packers.

The highlight of Gill’s head coaching career was in 2008 when he led Buffalo to its only MAC championship and bowl game.
