Coming in at #4 on our Year in Review list is Liberty’s Golf Team’s NCAA tournament performance.
Liberty’s men’s Golf team finished the season in 10th place in the 2012 NCAA National Championship. This is the highest team finish by any team in Liberty University athletic history. The Flames finished ahead of many household names such as Oklahoma, Florida, Texas A&M, Auburn, USC, Stanford, Georgia, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.
Liberty won the 2012 Big South Championship and the NCAA Tournament Greensboro Regional to advance to the National Championship.

I attended the Greensboro Regional and a couple of other tournaments this year. I think the golf team is Liberty’s best bet for a National Title in the near future.
