For the 6th time this offseason, Liberty baseball and head coach Scott Jackson have gone to the transfer portal to pick up reinforcements as the Flames add UNC Charlotte transfer Josh Haney.

Haney joins Cade Hungate, Dylan Cumming, Trevor DeLaite, Jake Wilson, and Aaron Anderson in transferring to Liberty in recent weeks.

Haney is a 5’10”, 183 pound infielder from Stanley, North Carolina and Southlake Christian Academy. He was part of the CUSA all-freshman team in 2019 and started 16 of the 17 games played at first and third base in 2020 for Charlotte. He started 49 of 52 games in his freshman season while hitting .281 with a home run and 18 RBI’s.
