Since the end of the 2024 baseball season, Liberty has seen numerous players enter the transfer portal.

This is not uncommon especially with a coaching change the Flames have experienced as former head coach Scott Jackson resigned to return to North Carolina as an assistant and Liberty has hired former VCU head coach Bradley LeCroy.

Transferring to Liberty

P Jake Potts (High Point)

Potts appeared in 14 games, making one start for the Panthers in 2024. He pitched 16.2 innings. He began his collegiate career at Hartford Community College and then Seton Hall before transferring to High Point.

C Tucker Moore (Missouri)

After redshirting in 2023, Moore played in 30 games and started 24 for the Tigers in 2024. He batted .220 with 3 doubles, 2 home runs, and 5 RBIs.

1B Nick Barone (West Virginia)

Barone played in 7 games while making one start in 2023. He had 2 hits on the season, both home runs including a grand slam. This past spring, he played in 21 games with 5 starts at West Virginia while hitting 2 of 25 at the plate with 2 RBI and 5 walks. Barone was committed to VCU this summer, but after the coaching change he will follow Coach LeCroy to the Mountain.

P Tyler August (Delaware)

August appeared in 15 games and made 8 starts this past season at Delaware while also appearing in 9 games as a pinch hitter. He pitched 46.2 innings with a 10.22 ERA while striking out 58 and walking 42. In 10 at bats, August had 2 home runs, 7 RBIs with a .400 batting average. Like Barone, August was also committed to VCU this summer, but he will also follow Coach LeCroy to Lynchburg.

OF Michael Robertson (Florida)

Robertson made 104 starts for the Gators over the past two seasons after redshirting as a freshman due to injury. He hit .243 with 3 home runs and 45 RBIs while also stealing 16 bases on 20 attempts. He is a true centerfielder with good speed that helps him on defense with his range.

IF Easton Swofford (JUCO)

Swofford played in 64 games for Crowder College. He hit .317 with 3 home runs and 57 RBIs. He also scored 91 runs and stole 12 bases.

OF Anderson Fulk (VCU)

Fulk played in 20 games and started 18 for the Rams this past season. He batted .286 with 5 doubles and 4 home runs in 70 at bats. He also had 16 RBI and a stolen base.
