The Liberty Flames men’s basketball team has released its updated roster and jersey numbers for the 2024-25 season, featuring several newcomers.
Incoming freshmen Brett Decker and Will Gibson have been added to the roster alongside transfers Taelon Peter, Isaiah Ihnen, Owen Aquino, Josh Smith, and Jayvon Maughmer.
- Decker is listed at 6’2″ and will wear No. 4.
- Gibson is listed at 6’6″ and will wear No. 15.
- Peter will wear No. 2 and is listed at 6’4″.
- Ihnen is 6’9″ and will wear No. 7.
- Aquino is 6’8″ and will wear No. 8.
- Smith is 6’9″ and will wear No. 12.
- Maughmer is 6’6″ and will wear No. 32.

Returning starters Colin Porter, Kaden Metheny, and Zach Cleveland highlight a group that return to help lead Coach McKay’s Flames this coming season. The Flames struggled in its first season in Conference USA, finishing 7-9 in conference play and falling in the CUSA Quarterfinals as No. 4 seed and against No. 5 seed UTEP in Huntsville, Alabama. McKay and the Flames will look to return to the top of the conference standings, a spot Liberty has become accustomed to following its very successful tenure in the ASUN.
