Liberty won a program record 30 games this season and the 30th win, coming Sunday in the ASUN Tournament Championship game, pushes Ritchie McKay and the Flames to its second consecutive NCAA Tournament.

We have been keeping tabs all year on where the Flames have been projected this season, but now our focus ramps up as we know Liberty will be part of the Big Dance.

As of Monday morning, Liberty is projected in 103 brackets included on Bracket Matrix and being put in a relatively wide range from as high as a 9 seed to as low as a 14 seed. The average is 12.19 and the Flames are right in the middle of the teams being projected as a 12-seed alongside East Tennessee State, Yale, and Stephen F Austin.

Bart Torvik gives Liberty an 88.8% chance at a 12-seed, a 10.5% chance at a 13-seed and a 0.7% chance at an 11-seed.

PlayoffStatus.com gives Liberty a 69% chance at a 12-seed and a 31% chance at an 11-seed.

Things can certainly change this week as the rest of the conferences crown their champions. One game to watch tonight is the SOCON championship game between ETSU and Wofford. ETSU is currently just ahead of the Flames in pecking order on the 12-seed line and receiving an 11-seed many places. If they lose, Liberty is likely to bump up one spot as the Terriers have a losing conference record.
