After dropping two consecutive games on the road in conference play, the Liberty Flames have rebounded to win three straight and have yet to trail for a single second in those 120 minutes of basketball. The Flames are still tied atop the ASUN and projected to win the conference by most bracketologists. Each week we will provide updated information on Liberty’s current highest and lowest seed, as well as other notable seeds and matchup information from around the web.
This week, Liberty is being projected in 85 of the 99 brackets included on Bracket Matrix and being pegged anywhere from an 11 to a 14 seed with an average of 12.39.
North Florida, tied for first place in the ASUN with Liberty at 8-2, is being selected as the ASUN representative in 14 brackets, receiving a 16-seed in all except for one projection. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has UNF in as a 16-seed and he has the Flames in the “Next Four Out” group, currently listed as the 7th team out.
Bart Torvik gives Liberty an 81.8% chance to make the NCAA Tournament. The Flames are most likely to receive a 12-seed according to this metric, as Liberty has a 66.2% chance at a 12-seed and a 13.1% chance at a 13-seed.
