Liberty has pushed its win streak to 8 games and doing so has clinched at least a share of the ASUN regular season title and the 1-seed in next week’s ASUN Tournament. That allows the Flames the ability to play at home as long as they keep winning in the tournament, and if the Flames should lose next week and not advance to the NCAA Tournament, Liberty would have an automatic berth into the NIT.
Of course, we’re not here to talk about the NIT, we’re here to talk about Liberty’s NCAA Tournament bracket projections.
This week, Liberty is being projected in all 94 brackets included on Bracket Matrix and being pegged anywhere from an 11 to a 13 seed with an average of 12.11.
Bart Torvik gives Liberty an 81.4% chance to make the NCAA Tournament. The Flames are most likely to receive a 12-seed according to this metric, as Liberty has a 68.6% chance at a 12-seed, a 12.5% chance at an 11-seed, and a 0.4% chance at a 13-seed.

In every computer model, Liberty’s seed has been trending up from a 12/13 borderline towards an 11/12 seed. We’ll see if that continues over the next couple weeks as we head towards Selection Sunday.
