Liberty’s 2020 class took a blow Friday when 3-star cornerback Karon Prunty decommitted from the Flames.
Prunty, a 6’2″ corner from I.C. Norcom in Portsmouth, Virginia, committed to Liberty in early October. Less than two weeks later, he picked up an offer from Virginia Tech.

In his announcement on twitter, Prunty says Liberty is “still one of my top choices but I will be letting god handle this process and take my time in making the right decision.” Prunty was the 2nd highest rated recruit in Liberty’s 2020 class and 3rd highest in program history according to 247Sports.
