Liberty defensive back Louis Taylor, III has entered the transfer portal. The 6’1″, 180 pound safety played in five games during his true freshman season with the Flames in 2020 but did not record any stats. Taylor is from Martinsville, Virginia where he attended Magna Vista High School.
He committed to Liberty in June 2019, signing with the program that December and joining the team as a mid-year enrollee ahead of the 2020 spring semester. Liberty was his first and only reported Division I offer as he picked it up after partaking in the Friday Night Lights elite camp with approximately 150 top prospects on campus. He committed just a couple days later.
Taylor finished his senior season at Magna Vista High School with 32.5 tackles, six pass breakups and an interception. He was named first-team all-district offense and defense as well as being named first-team all-region on defense. He also participated in basketball and track & field during his time in high school.
