Liberty’s fall sports are coming to an end. Here’s an update on those sports which are still in action.

CROSS COUNTRY

Liberty redshirt senior Adelyn Fairley has qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. She earned her trip to Madison, Wisconsin with an eighth place finish at the NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championships.

Her efforts helped CUSA champion Liberty place fifth as a team, matching the best regional showing in program history. However, it was not quite enough to garner an at-large team qualification to Madison.

The 2024 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships will take place on Nov. 23. The women’s 6K will get the morning started at 10:20 a.m. Eastern and will be televised live on ESPNU.

VOLLEYBALL (13-17, 7-11 CUSA)

The Lady Flames concluded its regular season over the weekend in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Liberty was swept by Western Kentucky, 3-0, on Thursday and then lost in four sets on Friday to the CUSA regular season champs. WKU finished a perfect 18-0 in conference play, its sixth straight unbeaten conference regular season slate.

Liberty will compete in the CUSA Volleyball Championship this weekend. The Lady Flames will take on No. 2 seed UTEP on Friday at 7 p.m. in El Paso, Texas, where the entire tournament is being played. Liberty hosted UTEP for two matches earlier this month at Liberty Arena, dropping the first game in four sets and then the second in three sets.
