The Liberty Flames football team has released its updated roster and jersey numbers for the 2021 season.
The roster includes highly touted transfers JJ Holloman, Storey Jackson, and Kaidon Salter. Holloman is a transfer from FIU and will boost the Flames’ wide receivers and wear No. 16. Jackson joins the Flames as a grad transfer and will compete for a starting spot at linebacker and will wear No. 12. Salter, a highly recruited quarterback prospect out of Texas, joins the Flames after spending the spring semester at Tennessee.
Incoming freshmen Kyle Austin will wear No. 80, Chris Boti will wear No. 80, Marquise Brunson will wear No. 97, Mason Bundy will wear No. 75, Nate Hampton will wear No. 10, Harrison Hayes will wear No. 51, Jackson Shirer will wear No. 45, Amarian Williams will wear No. 26, and Kristian Zachary will wear No. 77.
A couple other number changes to note include quarterback Johnathan Bennett now wearing No. 11, wide receiver is wearing No. 6, and Stephen Sings is now No. 3.
Freshman Kaci Seegars, who initially joined as a linebacker, is now listed at defensive end and he will wear No. 2. Malik Caper is listed at running back, and Stetson Moore is listed as a tight end after being listed as a wide receiver in the spring. BJ Wheat has been moved to tight end from the offensive line and he will wear No. 40.
No surprises are missing from the roster, but both DJ Humes and Louis Taylor are no longer on the roster after announcing their transfers this summer.
