Walt Aikens looks to lead a deep & talented Liberty secondary in 2013 |
With more than 50 days to kickoff, we’re trying to help you pass the time as quickly as we can. How about a fun debate: Liberty football’s win total over/under predictions. We’ll set the over/under at 8.5. If you think the Flames will win more than 8.5, you take the over. If you think Liberty will win less than 8.5, you take the under. Vote in our poll on the sidebar and/or comment to this post to voice your opinion.

Over…losses to Kent State, ODU and Richmond and run the table in the Big South, wins over Morgan and Monmouth and routs of the two D2 schools…final total 9-3
I’ll take under. To get to 9 wins, sweeping the Big South would almost be necessary. When was the last time that happened? If that doesn’t happen, we’d have to win at least one of the big three: @ Kent State, @ Richmond, or @ Old Dominion. Not to mention we are always good for a couple “crap the bed” games. That plus the feeling of uncertainty at many positions I can’t say I’m too confident winning 75% of the games in the upcoming season.
over!!
Over. Last year was a transition year and also a rebuilding year. Despite that and several injuries, we still went 6-5 and beat Stony Brook. If Gill’s system is going to work, which I think it will, we should be much improved this year. I think we take one against the big three (ODU, Richmond, Kent St.) and then we’ll win out. 10-2
