Update 4/10: The report from the Virginian Pilot about Keshaun Moore committing to Liberty is not true, sources say.

The Virginian Pilot is reporting that Liberty has received a verbal commitment from Keshaun Moore.

The 6’3″ 245 pound athlete had offers from Liberty, Ball State, and Hampton. Moore is expected to graduate in May from Lackawanna College where he helped lead the team to the NJCAA National Championship game where Lackawanna lost to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, finishing the season 10-1. Following the season, Moore was named a second-team NJCAA Football All-American as he led the team with 68 tackles. He also had 10.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 3 pass break ups, 3 QB hurries, 3 fumble recoveries and 1 forced fumble.

He is a JMU bounceback as he redshirted with the Dukes in 2017 before playing in 10 games, including 6 starts, in 2018. Moore recorded 28 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 1 sack for JMU in 2018 before he was dismissed from the team in January 2019 for a violation of team rules.

Moore is originally from Suffolk, Virginia where he attended Nansemond-Suffolk Academy. He was a VISAA Division II First Team All-State linebacker as a junior and senior while also being named the Tidewater Conference Player of the Year as a senior as he helped Nansemond-Suffolk to 2015 Division III state championship.
