After the 2021 recruitment class seemed to be settled for Liberty, they add another name to the mix, grad-transfer Prairie View A&M linebacker Storey Jackson.

Jackson is coming off a great season for the Panthers, despite the abnormal spring season. He ended up with 50 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and one interception, in just three games. He helped PVAMU finish the year with two wins and only one loss. These lofty numbers were enough for him to earn STATS FCS All-America second team honors, following his electric 2021 spring season.
Jackson has great size at 6’3″ and 225 lbs and has great length to make tackles. He has sneaky speed to chase down players and be a nightmare against opposing lineman. Jackson has one year of eligibility left to make a name for NFL scouts.
In 2019, Jackson recorded 72 total tackles (including 37 solo stops) along with 8.5 tackles for loss and four sacks during the 2019 season for the Panthers. He arrived at PVAMU after spending two seasons at Hutchinson Community College.
Jackson will have an opportunity to compete immediately for playing time at linebacker alongside fellow transfer Rashaad Harding who joins the Flames this year from Louisiana-Monroe. Returners Aaron Pierre and Carlos Pierre also will provide depth and experience at the position for defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Scott Symons.
He is one of two PVAMU players to transfer out of the program following this previous spring season. Defensive back Reginald Stubblefield entered his name in the transfer portal before Jackson, but is now pursuing a professional career, after decommitting from Kansas State.
