With Liberty’s 83-45 win Thursday over Kennesaw State, the Flames move to 20-3 overall, clinching the program’s 4th consecutive 20-win season all of which have come under head coach Ritchie McKay.
Counting both stints, McKay has been Liberty’s head coach for seven seasons and he has guided the Flames to 20+ wins in five of those campaigns. This is the 48th season of Liberty basketball, and the 9th 20-win season in school history. Outside of McKay as head coach, there have been 41 seasons of Liberty basketball and only four 20-win seasons.
