In his message, Freeze states that the football staff did not come in for a weekly staff meeting as the Flames originally scheduled to return to class and spring practice this week. The video is shot from inside the newly renovated Liberty Football Center which was scheduled to open this week.
“I do find joy knowing that we will come out the other side of this,” Freeze said. “I see the end result because I know the resilience of people like yourselves.”
“We will get through this,” he continued. “We will be tougher together.”
Liberty was expected to have a big Junior Day this coming weekend as well which will not occur.
Freeze also encouraged everyone to “keep doing the things you’re supposed to do to handle this virus, to protect the people and yourself that you’re around. To overcome this crisis it’s going to take everyone doing your part.”
“I look forward to us getting back into Williams Stadium as soon as possible, but until then you stay safe, you be healthy, and Go Flames!”
