Liberty has picked up a commitment from West Virginia transfer offensive lineman Jordan White. The 6’2″, 298 pound lineman has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Originally from Largo, Maryland where he attended DeMatha Catholic, White played in 11 total games for the Mountaineers, seeing action at guard, right tackle, and center. He played 51 snaps in 2020 and then received a redshirt in 2021 after playing four games at center guard.
This past season, as a redshirt-freshman, White played in four games, starting three, while missing a good portion of the year due to injury.
White was a three-star recruit out of high school. He signed with WVU over offers from Maryland, LSU, Ole Miss, Syracuse, Virginia, Wisconsin, and others.
White will immediately factor in on the offensive line for the Flames. Liberty returns two starters on the offensive line in RG Brendan Schlittler and X’Zauvea Gadlin who played several spots on the line in 2022 for the Flames. Jonathan Graham, John Kourtis, and Reggie Young are others who had some playing time last year for Liberty while the rest of the unit is talented but young and inexperienced.
He is the fifth commitment from the transfer portal to join new head coach Jamey Chadwell and his staff in the past two days, joining fellow West Virginia transfer wide receiver Reese Smith, Louisiana transfer Errol Rogers, Southern Miss transfer quarterback Trey Lowe and South Carolina transfer safety RJ Roderick.
