Liberty has made the top six for Zack Chalmers, a three-star athlete from Newberry High School in Newberry, South Carolina. The Flames have made the cut alongside East Carolina, Appalachian State, Duke, Coastal Carolina, and Indiana.
Chalmers, who likely projects as a wide receiver but also plays defensive back, also has offers from Army, Kansas, Miami (OH), Navy, Old Dominion, Virginia, and Wake Forest. He took a visit to Liberty on Friday, June 11 for Elite Camp. He’s also taken a visit to campus.
Liberty jumped in on recruiting Chalmers very early on, beginning in 2020. The 6’4″, 200 pound prospect is rated as the No. 10 prospect in South Carolina for the class of 2022 and the No. 69 athlete in the country according to 247Sports.
