Liberty has made the top five for three-star running back Che Nwabuko, he has announced on his personal twitter account. The Flames made the cut alongside Purdue, Marshall, Pittsburgh, and Michigan.
Nwabuko is a 5’10”, 175 pound running back from Manor High School in Manor, Texas. He also had offers from Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Texas State, UTSA, Air Force, and Old Dominion. So far this month, he has taken visits to Texas, Texas Tech, and Texas A&M.
247Sports ranks Nwabuko as a three-star rated prospect and as the No. 48 running back prospect in the country and the No. 89 prospect in Texas. He currently has official visits scheduled for Marshall on June 18 and at Pitt on June 25.
During seven games in 2020, Nwabuko had 42 receptions for 700 yards, 44 rushes for 471 yards, 1,272 all-purpose yards and nine touchdowns. Aside from being a standout in football, Nwabuko also excels in track, where he ran a 10.47 in the 100 meter dash and a 21.4 in the 200 meter.
