Ok, so it’s not really the ‘midseason’ report as we are 5 games through the 2024 Liberty football season, but this is where an open date falls for the Flames this season. With the relatively new redshirt rule in effect, players can compete in up to 4 games in a season and still maintain their redshirt. A potential conference championship, bowl game, and/or playoff games do not count towards this number.
REDSHIRT STILL IN PLAY
With the coaching staff having been in place for one year and the advent of the transfer portal, playing time for true freshmen has not been significant so far this season. There are only three who have seen the field in a single game:
