Coach McKay and his staff have clearly made the class of 2022 a priority this summer as the Flames have offered a couple of prospects in the class of rising juniors including Braeden Moore.
Moore picked up an offer from Liberty on Monday, coming just on the heels of Liberty’s first verbal commit in the class of 2022 from DJ Moore (no relation).
Braeden is a 6’8″, 210 pound wing from Nashville, Tennessee where he attends Christ Presbyterian Academy, the same school that produced former Liberty signee under head coach Dale Layer Braxton Bonds.
Moore has been a hot commodity in recent weeks, picking up offers from UC Davis, Rice, and Oral Roberts just this month. He’s also received interest from a laundry list of suitors this month including Vanderbilt, Belmont, Purdue, Charlotte, Virginia Tech, Appalachian State, Lipscomb, Creighton, San Diego State, Memphis, Boston College, NC State, Wisconsin, Utah, TCU, Iowa, Davidson, Florida State, BYU, Ohio State, Missouri, Texas, and Richmond.
He reached the 1,000 career points scored in his high school career midway through his 10th grade and he made 100 three-pointers last season when he averaged 15.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
Liberty has all but wrapped out the class of 2021 with early commitments from Brody Peebles and Joseph Venzant to fill all available scholarships for the 2021-22 roster pending any movement.
