Liberty picked up a commitment late on Friday night as Jordan Norwood announced his pledge to the Flames. Norwood is a 6’1″, 200 pound linebacker from Littleton, Colorado where he attends Valor Christian High School.
Norwood is a three-star rated prospect and ranked as the No. 10 recruit in the Class of 2022 in the state of Colorado according to 247 Sports. He also has offers from Colorado State, Nevada, North Texas, UNLV, Utah State, Oregon State, and Tulane.
Norwood is Liberty’s 13th commit in the class of 2022 and the first at linebacker, a position the Flames have been trying to build depth over the past couple of seasons under head coach Hugh Freeze and defensive coordinator Scott Symons.
I am happy to announce that I am committing to the university of liberty, to continue my career as the next stage in my life! Big thanks to all that supported me, and am looking forward to what’s to come! @CoachHughFreeze @coachsymons @donnieyantis @GoValorFootball pic.twitter.com/gEKZYMfYuk
