Liberty continues to hit the transfer portal hard, picking up a commitment from Minnesota transfer tight end Austin Henderson, he announced Sunday evening.
The Nashville, Tennessee native, played in one game over his two seasons with the Golden Gophers the past two years. He will have four years of eligibility remaining. The Ensworth High School product was a three-star prospect out of high school. He helped lead his team tot he semifinals of the Tennessee Division II Class AAA State Championship with 21 receptions and 232 yards during his senior season. As a junior, he recorded 12 receptions for 220 yards. The 6’6″, 245 pound prospect was ranked as the No. 42 recruit in the state of Tennessee and No. 32 tight end in the country by ESPN in the 2020 recruiting class.
Just this weekend, Liberty has picked up commitments from Utah/Baylor transfer quarterback Charlie Brewer, Hawaii transfer running back Dae Dae Hunter, and Campbell transfer wide receiver Caleb Snead as they join the class of 2022.
