Liberty has picked up a commitment from Wisconsin transfer defensive tackle Mike Jarvis. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
The 6’4″, 290 pound Jarvis is originally from Medford, New Jersey where he signed with the Badgers out of high school over offers from Duke, Florida State, Indiana, Nebraska, Rutgers, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Wake Forest, and others.
After redshirting his true freshman season in 2021, Jarvis did not see any game action over the past two seasons at Wisconsin. He was a three star recruit out of high school, recording 44 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and a forced fumble in just seven games as a senior.
Jarvis will look to break into Liberty’s rotation on the defensive front. Chris Boti, Bryce Dixon, and Jay Hardy return for the Flames on the interior of the defensive line. Jarvis will look to join that group for playing time while also competing with Wake Forest transfer Eli Hall.
