On Sunday, Will Gibson and Brett Decker announced their commitments to Liberty.
Gibson is a 6’6″ forward in the Class of 2024 from Louisville, Kentucky where he attends DeSales High School. He is the first commitment in the class for the Flames, but head coach Ritchie McKay also added a commitment from 6’2″ point guard Brett Decker on the same day.
Decker also had offers from Eastern Kentucky, Austin Peay, Tennessee Tech, and Morehead State. He attends Central Hardin High School in Cecilia, Kentucky. Decker is a three-star rated prospect according to 247Sports.
These commitments add a growing trend of Liberty’s recruiting pipeline in Kentucky. Current senior forward Kyle Rode hails from Lexington, Kentucky, and true freshman point guard Colin Porter is also a Kentucky native.
