Liberty is 2-0 to begin the year for the 13th time in program history and only the third time in the last decade. Of course, the Flames also began last season at 2-0. Coming off a 21-13 win at Troy on Saturday night, the team now turns its attention to this week’s game against Old Dominion. Liberty hosts the in-state rival on Saturday at Williams Stadium with a 6:00 p.m. scheduled kickoff on ESPN3. The Flames opened as a 23 point favorite against the 1-1 Monarchs. Liberty has released its depth chart for this game.

Thankful to leave Troy with the win. Their defense was very respectable and kept them in the game. Our defense stepped up beautifully! Really glad to see that. Hope to get our guys back and healthy in the coming weeks. Also hope to get pass protection/run-blocking shored up as well. Btw, incredibly gutsy 4th and 3 in the 2nd half, what a call!
Flames Nation, we are lucky to have such a great group of guys to pull for and this coaching staff as well. #7 is a living example of pure class, humility, and God-given talent. Pray for this young man and the continued success of this team. I am proud to root for these guys and these coaches. Let’s keep it going!!
