Liberty men’s basketball continues to be included in ESPN’s Joe Lunardi early Bracketology as he thinks the Flames will three-peat as ASUN champs in 2020-21.
Lunardi updated his early March Madness bracket for 2021 and he continues to have Liberty in as a 16-seed, but this week he has a new and intriguing potential first round matchup predicted for the Flames.
Previously, Lunardi has had the Flames in a play-in game as one of the lowest rated 16-seeds and therefore heading to Dayton for the First Four. In his most recent updates, including this one, he has Liberty in as a 16-seed bypassing the First Four.
This update Lunardi has the Flames facing 1-seed Baylor.
The Flames finished the 2019-20 season at 30-4 overall and 13-3 in conference play, winning a share of the ASUN regular season title and ASUN Tournament championship for a second consecutive season.
