Liberty has replaced the opening left on its 2015 football schedule from James Madison backing out, with a road trip to Southern Illinois on September 26th, as first reported by Chris Lang. Southern Illinois is a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference where they finished 6-6 overall and 3-5 in conference play in 2014. This will be the first ever meeting between Southern Illinois and Liberty.
Liberty’s 2015 schedule now features 4 consecutive road trips beginning with Southern Illinois and ending with Monmouth on October 17th. The Flames will not play at Williams Stadium from September 19th until October 24th.
Liberty has replaced its 9/26 home football game with JMU with a road game on the same day at Southern Illinois.
