Liberty has added former Washington State starting safety Skyler Thomas after he has transferred from the PAC-12 program. Thomas recorded 151 tackles and 6 interceptions in three seasons with Washington State. He will have one season of eligibility remaining.
He started 12 games in 2019 and finished second on the team with 72 tackles and led the team with 4 interceptions to go along with 2 TFLs, 2 fumble recoveries, and 3 PBUs. He started 5 games at Nickel and 7 at strong safety. He started 25 of 26 games played over the 2018 and 2019 season.
Thomas is originally from Perris, California and Citrus high School. He helped his team win a Division 2A state championship and was named All-CIF Southern Section Inland Division and All-Mountain Pass League with 65 tackles and 8 TFLs, 5 sacks, and 2 interceptions. He was a 3-star rated prospect and the No. 18 rated safety in California.
