The Liberty Flames improved to 17-5 overall and 8-2 in ASUN play with a series sweep over North Florida this past weekend.

Liberty is currently 8-2 in conference play, sitting in his second place and just behind Bellarmine who is 10-2 in conference play. With the Knights ineligible for the NCAA Tournament in their first season at the Division I level, the Flames continue to be projected to make the NCAA Tournament by most Bracketologists.

The NCAA recently announced it will hold the entire 2021 men’s basketball tournament in the state of Indiana, with the majority of the tournament’s 67 games taking place in Indianapolis. Selection Sunday is still currently scheduled for March 14 and plans remain to hold the Final Four on April 3 and 5. March Madness will be hosted by Ball State, Butler, the Horizon League, Indiana, IUPUI, and Purdue, which are lending their facilities and staffs to assist with tournament operations. The Indiana Convention Center will be used as a practice facility with multiple courts set up inside the venue.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has dropped Liberty from a 13-seed to the 14-seed line with a very juicy matchup. He has the Flames taking on 3-seed Virginia with the winner moving on to take on the winner 6-seed Kansas and 11-seed VCU.

For a second straight week, the NCAA’s Andy Katz has Liberty in his bracket as a 14-seed and facing Tennessee with the winner moving on to play the winner of Kansas and VCU.

CBS Sports has also dropped the Flames to a 14-seed after spending three weeks on the 13 line. Still the same matchup as the past couple of weeks in this bracket, with Liberty taking on West Virginia. The winner would then face either Florida or Drake or Minnesota out of the First Four.

Watch Stadium has dropped Liberty for a second straight week, this time falling to a 15-seed and facing 2-seed Houston.

SBNation has Liberty as a 13-seed and facing 4-seed Iowa.

The Athletic has Liberty as a 14-seed, facing Texas Tech.
