The ACC has announced that Liberty’s game against Virginia Tech, scheduled for Nov. 7 will kick off at Noon and be televised on the ACC Network.
The Flames are 6-0 on the season following the team’s win over Southern Miss, 56-35, this past Saturday, and Liberty will be looking for its second straight win over an ACC opponent after LU defeated Syracuse two weeks ago. The Flames are currently just outside both the AP and Coaches Top 25 polls this week, checking in with the 2nd most votes of all teams in the others receiving votes category.
Virginia Tech is currently 3-2 on the season following their 23-16 loss at Wake Forest this past Saturday. That loss knocked the Hokies out of both Top 25 polls. Virginia Tech had reached No. 19 in the rankings before their loss. The began the season with wins over NC State and Duke before losing to North Carolina. The Hokies responded to the first loss of their season with a 40-14 win over Boston College.
This will be the 2nd ever time the Hokies and Flames have matched up on the gridiron. Virginia Tech knocked off Liberty in Blacksburg, 36-13, on Sept. 3, 2016.
