PREVIEW

Liberty will be looking to bounce-back from it’s second ever two-game losing streak in ASUN play since joining the conference four years ago. The last time the Flames dropped two straight in conference play was in late January 2020. The Flames would rebound then to win 11 out of 12 to end the season, including the program’s second straight ASUN title.

The Flames and Hatters met in DeLand, Florida on January 4 to open conference play this season. After falling behind early, Liberty would seize control of the game in the latter half of the first half and cruise to a victory. Five players reached double figures in the win for the Flames, led by Darius McGhee and Shiloh Robinson who each had 16 points. Kyle Rode added 12 points while Keegan McDowell and Brody Peebles each had 11.

Stetson has been without their all-conference performer Rob Perry for the past 11 games. Behind Perry, the Hatters opened conference play at 1-1, with the only loss against Liberty. Stetson dropped its first three games with Perry out of the lineup. Since then, it appears they are figuring out who they are without their star, winning four out of six games. The Hatters have lost two straight, including a 67-45 setback at home on Wednesday to Jacksonville.
